David is a partner of the firm and maintains the esprit de corps for all the ALSB team. He is a specialist in small business development and has additional expertise in individual, corporate, partnership and estate taxation.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting from Humboldt State University in 1974. David worked as a senior auditor with the US Government for 5 years. He has been practicing public accounting since 1979, becoming a partner with ALSB’s successor firm in 1982.

David and his wife, Gaby, enjoy traveling and spending time on their Golden Pond in Florence, Oregon. He donates his time to the Redwood Memorial and St. Joseph Hospital Foundation.

Vanessa joined the ALSB team in January 2011 when she relocated from San Jose to Fortuna to be closer to family. She is an Enrolled Agent licensed by the Department of the Treasury and has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service and various State Agencies. She brings with her over twenty-five years of experience in both the tax and accounting field as well as past experience in banking, computer programming, software support, and data processing.

Vanessa is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the California Society of Enrolled Agents.

When not at ALSB, Vanessa enjoys fishing and long drives in the country exploring new places. Vanessa also enjoys Facetime with her grandchildren who reside in Indianapolis.
